ME-- do you mean that you work zouk a year already and you still don't know what is the 7 house pour made of?????? Here is some general knowledge- Vodka-Most vodka produced these days is made from a grain, though some is still made from potatoes Gin-Gin is a spirit flavoured with juniper berries. Distilled gin is made by redistilling white grain spirit and raw cane sugar which has been flavoured with juniper berries. Compound gin is made by flavouring neutral grain spirit with juniper berries without redistilling and can be considered a flavoured vodka. Tequila- Tequila, named after the town of the same name in the state of Jalisco, central Mexico, is the national drink of Mexico and can be declared as such due its integral part in the nation's history, ecology and culture. The Tequila liquor is produced from a fermented and distilled extract of the blue agave plant, a succulent rather than a true cactus. To be a true 100% Agave Tequila, the finest, most sought-after Tequila, the beverage must be produced from a certain species of agave plant and produced according to strict quality control and manufacturing standards. Tequila can only be produced in certain areas authorised by the Mexican registering organisation. Rum- Rum is a hard alcohol made from fermented sugar. This process usually includes the fermentation of the juices of the sugarcane plant, as well as of molasses and other by-products of sugar production. Rum is one of the major liquors in the world, with a history steeped in the myths of piracy, the Caribbean, and slavery. Brandy- Brandy is a spirit made by distilling grapes to a higher proof than they achieve as wine. Most brandy is made from actual grape wine, though some may also be made from the pulpy mixture of stems and seeds left after grapes are pressed, and some is made from the fermented juices of fruits other than grapes. The name brandy is a shortening of the Dutch word brandewijn, which means “fire wine”. Bourbon- Bourbon is a type of American whiskey predominantly made in the southern United States. It is made of a blend of different grains, with the bulk of the grain alcohol coming from corn, and grains such as malted barley, rye, or wheat making up the rest. Whisky- Whiskey, like many grain alcohols, may be made using an assortment of different grains. Common whiskey grains are rye, barley, corn, and wheat. Whiskey is sometimes referred to as the “juice of the barley”, an allusion to the grain used in creating that type of whiskey. Malt whiskey is a type of whiskey made entirely from malted barley as the source grain, and a single-malt whiskey is a whiskey in which all the malt comes from one stilling, rather than blending many different batches together. |
